Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otto Baan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Otto Baan! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baan cracks Cruz with an open hand slap. Cruz misses with a takedown attempt and Baan counters with a three punch combo that has Cruz backing up. Cruz nods at Baan to acknowledge the strikes. Baan misses with a double jab.
Cruz wants to clinch up but Baan keeps it at a distance. Baan lands a body shot.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Cruz. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Cruz is putting a hurting on Baan here, landing some big shots from side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! You can see the frustration on Baan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Baan tries to control but Cruz manages to take his back. Baan tries to escape but Cruz has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Cruz not allowing Baan to control his hands. Baan wants to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baan trying to control the hands but Cruz breaks the grip. Cruz is looking to control Baan but Baan is wriggling around and keeping busy. Baan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Baan is looking to get to half guard. Baan swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Baan wants to hold on but Cruz pushes him away. Baan is trying desperately to improve position. Baan tries to improve his position but instead Cruz has taken his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Despite being in a bad position, Baan is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts. Baan trying to control the hands but Cruz breaks the grip. Baan trying to get back to his feet but Cruz is in full control for now. Baan trying to control the position but Cruz manages to sink in the hooks. A lull in the action here.
Baan tries to escape but Cruz has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Cruz not allowing Baan to control his hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baan looking very determined here, making life difficult for Cruz.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. I really don't envy Baan right now.
Cruz biding his time, looking for the opening.
Cruz has the hooks in. Baan is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Cruz passes his arm under Baan's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Baan taps!
