Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Johns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leo Clarke!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Clarke. Johns does a little dance to reset his feet.
Clarke throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Johns sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Clarke throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Johns misses with a hook.
Donk. Johns catches Clarke right on the button with a cross.
Johns throws a big shot that misses.
Johns jabs Clarke right on the nose. Clarke blinks but takes it well.


It looks like Leo Clarke has been cut.
Johns throws a hook but Clarke avoids it easily.
Johns throws a body punch but Clarke moves out of range.
Johns throws a right and a left that both miss.
Johns steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Clarke.
Johns lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Clarke slips a straight right by Johns.
Clarke drops his hands momentarily and Johns takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Clarke checks a low kick from Johns.

Johns gets a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Clarke tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Johns tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Johns throws a knee to the head but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johns misses with a punch on the inside.
Clarke blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A knee to the head by Johns.
Johns lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Johns throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Clarke stalling in the clinch but Johns improves position.
Clarke throws a punch but it's blocked by Johns.
Clarke taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Johns with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Clarke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Clarke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johns moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clarke tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Johns throws a body punch but Clarke moves out of range.
Clarke takes one on the button.
Clarke scores with a hook to the body. Johns takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Clarke fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice body punch from Clarke.
Johns lands with a slapping head kick.
A head kick misses from Johns.
Johns throws a big shot that misses.
Clarke takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Clarke misses with a wild body shot.
Clarke looks to throw the jab but Johns is out of range.
Johns connects with a body shot.
Johns scores with a nice head shot.
Clarke throws a looping overhand right but Johns ducks down to avoid it.
Shane Johns is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johns takes a swing at Clarke's ribcage but misses.
Johns doesn't manage to clinch there - Clarke circles away.
Clarke lands a lovely overhand right.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Clarke.
Clarke fails with a takedown attempt.
Leo Clarke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johns avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johns uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clarke.
Clarke throws a shot from downtown. Johns moves away and avoids it.
Clarke throws a hook to the side of Johns's head but Johns sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Clarke is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Johns's half guard.
Clarke wants to pass to mount but Johns is defending the position.
Clarke thows a huge punch but Johns dodges it nicely.
Johns tries to roll over but Clarke keeps him under control.

Clarke is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Clarke is nestled in close to Johns, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Clarke sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Johns defending well though.

Clarke is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Clarke wants to free his trapped foot but Johns is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Clarke trying to control the action but Johns is working from the bottom.
Johns is looking for a sweep. Clarke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Clarke is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johns is just riding it out for now. Clarke eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Clarke passes the guard and advances to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shane Johns will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Leo Clarke's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Clarke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Johns throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johns connects with a looping right hand.
Johns takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Clarke swats away the attempt to clinch by Johns.
Johns is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Clarke finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A jab from Clarke misses.
Johns rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Clarke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clarke misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice body punch from Johns.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Clarke keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab lands there for Johns.
Johns throws a head kick that Clarke semi-blocks.


That has opened up Leo Clarke's cut even more.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johns lands a slapping body shot.
Clarke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johns paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Johns is looking to slow Clarke down with leg kicks.

Johns moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Clarke goes down! Can Johns finish him!?


Clarke is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johns loads up on a big left hand. Clarke felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Johns looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Clarke can't hide his disappointment, as Johns celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shane Johns!
Our winner, Shane Johns, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
