Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Brookins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Takiez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Brookins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Takiez! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Takiez. Takiez with a lazy takedown attempt and Brookins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Takiez's guard now. Takiez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Brookins dives into side control.
Takiez is not content to let Brookins control the position. Takiez seems a little lost for a moment, as Brookins dominates the positioning. Takiez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brookins is controlling him well. Takiez is trying to escape the position but Brookins is controlling the position. Brookins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brookins throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takiez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brookins is controlling him well. Brookins scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Takiez to see if he's OK. Brookins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Takiez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Takiez is not content to let Brookins control the position. Takiez wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brookins is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Takiez's shoulder. That is not cool. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takiez wants to get back to his feet. Brookins controlling from side mount. Brookins passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Takiez!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brookins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Brookins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Brookins working the ground and pound effectively.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brookins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brookins unloading with bombs! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Brookins dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Brookins swings for the body but Takiez moves out of range.
Takiez is rocked! Takiez avoids a kick to the body.
Takiez is still on wobbly legs! Can Brookins finish him? Takiez with a lazy takedown attempt and Brookins counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Takiez is trying to stand up here but Brookins is controlling him well. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Takiez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brookins. Brookins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Takiez is just riding it out for now. Brookins eventually gives up the hold. Brookins trying to control the pace. Brookins stops Takiez from getting back to his feet.
Brookins thows a huge punch but Takiez dodges it nicely.

Brookins maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Takiez could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Brookins has cracked it and Takiez is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Brookins!
