Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nickolai Zhukov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhukov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hands of a Killer kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Zhukov has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Nickolai Zhukov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Zhukov to score with a decent uppercut.
Zhukov avoids a kick to the body.
Watson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Watson misses with a takedown
and Zhukov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Watson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Watson shoots for a takedown but Zhukov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nickolai Zhukov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Watson moves in looking to clinch but Zhukov pushes him off.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Watson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Zhukov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Watson's head backwards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Watson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zhukov on his heels. He'll look to pass Zhukov's guard now, I'm sure.
Zhukov pushes Watson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Watson throws an elbow that misses. Zhukov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Watson's guard. Nice move by Zhukov!

Watson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A looping hook to the body misses from Zhukov. Watson does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fighters circling - Zhukov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Watson tries to close the distance and clinch but Zhukov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Watson.

Nickolai Zhukov seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Watson tries to lock up and control but Zhukov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Zhukov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Watson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Zhukov lands a nice hook to Watson's body. Watson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Zhukov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Watson thinking.

Zhukov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Watson shoots in but no luck this time.
Zhukov digs a good body shot into Watson's ribs.

and Zhukov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Watson wants to take a breather but Zhukov is having none of it.

Watson is working for an americana but Zhukov has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Watson was thinking about the submission.

We're going to have a standup here because Eric Watson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Zhukov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Watson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zhukov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zhukov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Watson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Watson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zhukov as he jumps to the side.
Zhukov lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zhukov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Watson doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Watson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Nickolai Zhukov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Zhukov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
