The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gives looking to score a takedown here. Testament is defending well but Gives drives through and ends up in Testament's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Testament looking for a guillotine here but Gives defends easily.
Gives is in close to Testament's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Gives postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Testament had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gives defends it easily.
Gives trying to control the position from guard on top but Testament is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gives cracks Testament with a solid left hand.

Gives lands a couple of digs.
Testament throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gives has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Testament is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Testament trying to keep a closed guard but Gives is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Testament has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gives is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Testament.
Gives lands a strong strike to the head of Testament. That's dazed him! Gives looking to finish here. Testament is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Gives lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

A determined Ryan Gives didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
