The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pynchon throws a series of punches but Bullock avoids them all with ease.

Bullock looks to land a right hand but Pynchon moved out of range.
Bullock dodges the punch combination from Pynchon.
Bullock misses with a wild body shot.
Pynchon looks to score with a jab to the body but Bullock is just out of range.
Bullock takes a swing at Pynchon's ribcage but misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bullock. Pynchon does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pynchon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bullock circles away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
