PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Wynd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ignatious Hashisha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hector Wynd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ignatious Hashisha! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hashisha loads up on a big right hand but Wynd slips the punch. Hashisha swinging wildly here.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wynd, as that shot connected.
Wynd moves into range and clinches up with Hashisha. Hashisha escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch lands to the side of Wynd 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wynd misses with an uppercut. Wynd on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Hashisha connects with an inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wynd blocks a head kick by Hashisha.
Hashisha scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wynd in his tracks. Wynd takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hashisha gets caught napping as Wynd dives in and scores a takedown. Hashisha manages to retain guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Wynd throws a big right hand that misses. Wynd throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hashisha works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wynd throws an elbow that misses. Hashisha uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wynd's guard. Nice move by Hashisha! Wynd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hashisha doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hashisha manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hashisha trying to control but Wynd is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wynd has control of Hashisha's left arm, preventing Hashisha from doing any damage. Wynd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hashisha can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wynd manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wynd lands a nice shot to the head.
Hashisha is rocked! Wynd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! Wynd softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Hashisha is out cold! Wynd jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hector Wynd! An out of breath Hector Wynd thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
