Liddell comes into the arena with Slayer - Raining Blood blaring out of the sound system. Block Liddell could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tatsuyo Hayate's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tatsuyo Hayate!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell with a hook.

Liddell lands a left and a right that send Hayate crashing to the mat, dazed. Liddell thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hayate thows a body shot but no joy.
Hayate swings widly with a right hand
and Liddell counters with an outside leg kick.
Liddell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hayate lands a body shot.
Liddell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hayate uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Liddell.
Liddell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hayate.
Hayate has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Liddell.
Liddell chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A lazy left from Liddell finds it's target.
Hayate takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Liddell lands a right hook to the body.
Hayate looks gassed!
Liddell changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Liddell cracks Hayate with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Hayate misses with an uppercut. Liddell saw that one coming.
A telegraphed right hand from Hayate misses the target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hayate slips a jab and a cross from Liddell.
Hayate looks to throw the jab but Liddell is out of range.
Hayate throws a jab when Liddell was well out of range.
Hayate throws a hook to the side of Liddell's head but Liddell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hayate walks into a straight right hand from Liddell.
Liddell circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hayate drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Liddell follows Hayate to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Block Liddell!
A relieved looking Block Liddell thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
