Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Patton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Souza!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton instigates a clinch.
Souza can't get the takedown.
The is referee keeping an eye on Souza - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Patton tries to pull guard but Souza won't allow it.
Souza prevents a takedown attempt there.
Patton wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Patton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Souza is pressed up against the cage. Patton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Souza down to the mat. Souza avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Souza closes the distance but Patton moves to the side
and Patton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Patton won't allow Souza to sweep him here.
Patton looking to sit in guard and control but Souza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Patton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Patton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Souza prevents Patton from getting back to his feet.

Souza trying to control but Patton is working from the bottom.
Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Patton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Souza is looking to stand up but Patton won't let him.
Souza trying to control the position from guard on top but Patton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Souza scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Souza seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Patton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Souza is looking to stall here but Patton recovers full guard.
Souza is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Patton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Patton has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Patton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Souza is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Patton shoots for a takedown but Souza saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Souza counters by clinching up.
Patton breaks the clinch.
Souza throws a right and a left that both miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Patton has a takedown stuffed.
Souza looks to clinch
and Patton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Souza manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Patton wants to pass the guard but Souza is keeping the position.
Pattonis looking to pass into half guard but Souza pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Souza is in guard.
Patton trying to keep a closed guard but Souza is proving a slippery customer.
Patton seems keen to control Souza's posture.
Souza trying to control but Patton is working from the bottom.

Souza is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Patton wants to sweep but no luck.

Souza is breathing heavily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Souza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Patton looks to clinch
and Souza counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Souza fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Souza is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Patton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
George Patton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Souza.
Souza drops down looking for an ankle pick but Patton pulls his leg out and moves away.
Patton fails with an attempt to clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Souza gets a takedown into half guard.
Souza wants to take a breather but Patton is having none of it.
Souza throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Souza passes the guard and advances to mount!
Souza wants to control the pace but Patton is squirming around nicely.
Souza landing strikes from the mount and Patton is in trouble!

Souza moves to his opponent's back but Patton bucks him off and ends up in guard. A bit of a disaster there for Souza.
Souza not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Patton postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Souza is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Patton, into his guard.
Souza slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Souza has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Patton is proving hard to escape from.
Patton keeping moving, preventing Souza from controlling successfully.
Souza slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Souza tries for a kimura but Patton is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Souza showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Souza is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Patton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Souza.

Patton throws a sloppy head kick and Souza moves out of range easily.

and Patton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Souza can't get the takedown.
Patton wants to break the clinch but can't.
Patton has Souza pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Souza manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Souza pulls guard effortlessly.
Souza escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Patton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Patton advances position into side control!
Souza is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Patton's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Souza is trying to get back to full guard.

Patton is pressing down on Souza's thigh, looking to free his foot. Souza is holding on for now.
Souza is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Patton pulls his head out easily.
Patton trying to control the action but Souza is working from the bottom.
Patton is thwarting Souza's attempts to control the position.
Souza is looking for a sweep. Patton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ryan Souza comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Souza has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
