The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redz slaps away a takedown attempt from Johnson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Redz.
A jab lands there for Redz.
Johnson moves to clinch but Redz breaks away
and Redz counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Johnson goes down! Will Johnson beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Redz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Redz misses with a hook. Johnson ducked under it nicely.
Redz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.
Redz jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Redz misses with a wild combination.
Franky Redz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Redz misses the shot to the body.

Redz catches Johnson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Redz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it.
Redz stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stevie Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Redz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Johnson.
Redz misses the shot to the body.
Redz throws a looping overhand right but Johnson ducks down to avoid it.
Redz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Redz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A looping hook to the body misses from Redz. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Redz throws a right and a left that both miss.

Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Redz's waist but Redz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Redz misses with an uppercut.
Redz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Redz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Redz misses with a hook.
Redz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Redz lands a big uppercut and Johnson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Johnson looks OK. Redz waves Johnson back to his feet!
A slow jab from Redz misses its intended target.
Redz cracks Johnson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Johnson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Redz pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Johnson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Franky Redz!
