Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wong Yan Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sparks comes to the cage accompanied by Sparks. Wong Yan Lin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricky Sparks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wong Yan Lin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sparks counters with a stiff right hand.
Sparks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lin moves away.
Sparks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sparks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lin is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sparks is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lin is looking to improve his position but Sparks isn't that keen on the idea.
Sparks looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lin can't escape the position.
Lin swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Lin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lin really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Lin is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Sparks prevents Lin from getting the reversal.
Sparks looking to finish Lin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lin!
Sparks postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Lin badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Sparks around the waist but Sparks pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Sparks is the winner by TKO! Sparks jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Sparks!
Ricky Sparks decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
