Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dutch Delight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delight comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Reputation . I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dutch Delight!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delight with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Cruz gets tackled into the cage by Delight. Delight maintains the clinch.

Delight breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Cruz counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cruz slows the pace down in half guard.

Cruz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Delight manages to get to full guard.
Delight keeping moving, preventing Cruz from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz slips nicely into half guard.
Delight tries to kick Cruz off but Cruz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Delight is trying to get back to full guard.

Cruz is looking for a kimura but Delight is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cruz to get the leverage.

Cruz takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Cruz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Cruz thows a huge punch but Delight dodges it nicely.
Cruz works his way into side control.
Cruz cracks Delight with a big right hand but Delight just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cruz has an Americana. Delight didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Cruz is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Cruz hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Nate Cruz! Nate Cruz retains his lightweight title!
