Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elvin Ruez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Violator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Face Breaker - Poison Pen. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Violator tries for a takedown but Ruez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Violator tries to bum rush Ruez with a series of wild strikes but Ruez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ruez misses with a series of wild punches.
Violator uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ruez.
Violator stuffs the takedown attempt from Ruez. Ruez gets slowly back to his feet.
Elvin Ruez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Danny Violator hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ruez drives through with a takedown into Violator's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Ruez wants to control from the top but Violator keeps moving.
Ruez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Violator swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ruez jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Violator counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ruez tries to close the distance and clinch but Violator swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Ruez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ruez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Violator's head.

Ruez forces Violator back against the cage and clinches.
Ruez tries to circle away but Violator has him pinned against the cage.
Violator looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Violator jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ruez walks away with a smile on his face. Violator gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Ruez counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

It looks like Danny Violator has been cut.

Ruez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Violator connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ruez scrambles back to his feet.

Ruez shoots in looking for a takedown. Violator tries to sprawl out of it but Ruez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Violator manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
