Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ratrick Obeh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatjaana Rakopaljaana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obeh comes to the cage accompanied by Quake Arena. Rakopaljaana is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Limp Bizkit - Gold Cobra . The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Ratrick Obeh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tatjaana Rakopaljaana! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rakopaljaana scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Obeh doesn't seem bothered though. Rakopaljaana thows a body shot but no joy. Obeh throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rakopaljaana. Rakopaljaana just misses with a punch to the body.
A jab from Obeh misses. Obeh misses with an uppercut. Rakopaljaana gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A swing and a miss from Rakopaljaana. Obeh takes a shot right to the bread basket. Obeh lands with an overhand left. Ratrick Obeh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Obeh misses with the combination.
Obeh moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Obeh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rakopaljaana needs to keep his hands up - Obeh had a free shot at his head there. Rakopaljaana is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A big right from Obeh misses. Rakopaljaana on the wrong end of a nice hook. Obeh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Obeh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rakopaljaana looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rakopaljaana digs a good body shot into Obeh's ribs. Obeh stuffs the takedown. Obeh misses with a straight right. Rakopaljaana shoots for a takedown but Obeh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rakopaljaana throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A left lands for Obeh.
It looks like Tatjaana Rakopaljaana has been cut. A telegraphed right hand from Obeh misses the target. A looping hook to the body misses from Rakopaljaana. Obeh does a little dance to reset his feet. Obeh is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Rakopaljaana scores with a takedown into Obeh's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Obeh working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rakopaljaana. Obeh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rakopaljaana on the ground. Obeh looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rakopaljaana puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Rakopaljaana wants to work for an arm triangle but Obeh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rakopaljaana is working for a kimura but Obeh is defending it quite comfortably.
Obeh wants to improve his position but Rakopaljaana is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rakopaljaana is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Rakopaljaana postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Obeh looks a forlorn figure.

Rakopaljaana goes for an armbar but Obeh turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Obeh. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rakopaljaana working for a triangle but Obeh defends it easily.

Obeh sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tatjaana Rakopaljaana dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tatjaana Rakopaljaana's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Obeh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rakopaljaana will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Obeh avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Obeh is looking to slow Rakopaljaana down with leg kicks. Rakopaljaana checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Obeh misses with an uppercut. Rakopaljaana fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Obeh manages to avoid it. Rakopaljaana displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Obeh throws out the jab. Obeh throws a leg kick which misses Rakopaljaana's front leg but catches the back leg as Rakopaljaana tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Obeh lands with a good body shot. Nice body punch from Obeh. Ratrick Obeh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rakopaljaana uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Obeh.

and Rakopaljaana counters with a lovely straight right hand! Obeh moves out of range of the strikes. Rakopaljaana closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Obeh did well to prevent Rakopaljaana getting side control. Rakopaljaana is nestled in close to Obeh, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Rakopaljaana is looking for a kimura but Obeh is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rakopaljaana to get the leverage. Obeh is looking to get back to full guard here but Rakopaljaana has managed to pass to side control instead. Rakopaljaana working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Obeh looks to move to half guard but instead Rakopaljaana has passed into mount! Damn!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rakopaljaana with good strikes from the mount here! Rakopaljaana trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rakopaljaana looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Rakopaljaana working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Obeh wants to hold on but Rakopaljaana pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Obeh is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Rakopaljaana is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Obeh is forced to tap! Great finish!
