Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gee Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Brujeria by La Coka Nostra. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gee Damn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Escobar! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Damn fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Escobar. Damn takes one on the button. Escobar with a hook.
It looks like Gee Damn has been cut. Escobar takes one on the button. Damn slips under a jab from Escobar. Damn misses with the body kick and Escobar counters with a shoot takedown. Damn fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Damn pulls Escobar in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Damn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Escobar is one step ahead there. Escobar scoring with some ground and pound. Escobar wants to control from the top but Damn keeps moving. Escobar won't allow Damn to sweep him here. Escobar wants to control from the top but Damn keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Damn is on top in guard.
Damn engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Escobar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Damn passes into half guard. Damn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Escobar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Escobar regains full guard. Nicely done. Damn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Escobar keeping moving, preventing Damn from controlling successfully. Escobar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Escobar is looking to sweep but instead, Damn has passed into half guard.
Damn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Escobar has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Damn. Oh but Escobar has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Damn goes limp - he's gone! Escobar jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Juan Escobar! Juan Escobar decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
