Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Revilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Escudero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Revilla kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Phenomenon- Thousand Foot Krutch. Joseph Revilla has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Revilla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pablo Escudero! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Revilla fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Escudero sprawls well initially but Revilla persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Escudero wants to improve his position but Revilla is controlling well.
Revilla working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Escudero tries to roll over but Revilla keeps him under control. Escudero trying to control here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Escudero wants to sweep here but Revilla controlling him for the moment. Escudero wants to control the position but Revilla says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Escudero is looking to control Revilla's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Escudero avoid being mounted? Escudero tries to roll over but Revilla keeps him under control. Revilla is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Escudero doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Revilla. Revilla trying to control the action but Escudero is working from the bottom. Revilla stops Escudero from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Revilla trying to pass the guard but Escudero defending well. Revilla is breathing heavily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Revilla misses with a takedown attempt - Escudero sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Revilla shoots in but Escudero avoids the takedown attempt easily. Escudero misses with a head kick.
Escudero connects with a jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Escudero. Escudero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Revilla. That's going to take a lot out of him. Escudero shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Revilla's guard. Revilla throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Revilla might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Revilla takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Escudero scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Revilla?

Revilla is working hard here to advance position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Escudero can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Revilla is looking to escape. That was a close round but I would say that Joseph Revilla will probably get the nod. That's time! Revilla's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Revilla fails with the takedown and Escudero counters with a nice double leg into guard. Escudero sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Revilla's guard. Escudero wants to take a breather but Revilla is having none of it. Escudero looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Revilla on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Revilla tries to get out of the position. Escudero wants to control but Revilla is keeping him busy. Revilla works his way to full guard. Good work. Revilla keeping full guard, as Escudero tries to pass. Revilla looking to hit a scissor sweep but Escudero is one step ahead there. Escudero postures up in Revilla's guard and throws a big left but Revilla blocks it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Revilla shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Escudero but Escudero pushes him off and we're back to square one. Escudero avoids the head kick by Revilla.
Escudero scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Escudero gets a takedown into half guard. Escudero wants to take a breather but Revilla is having none of it. Escudero throws a strike but Revilla avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Escudero wants to control from the top but Revilla keeps moving. Escudero postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Revilla wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Escudero closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Revilla to the mat! Revilla manages to get full guard. Revilla has a closed guard, preventing Escudero from standing up. Revilla looking to sweep here. No luck so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Revilla is on top in guard.
Escudero is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Revilla gets to his feet. Escudero looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Revilla wants to clinch up but Escudero keeps it at a distance. Escudero shoots in but Revilla avoids the takedown attempt easily. Escudero gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Escudero misses with a punch on the inside.

Escudero had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Revilla is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Escudero Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Revilla's back instead. Escudero is trying to stick to Revilla's back but Revilla is turning into Escudero. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Escudero's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Revilla. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Revilla content to stall in guard here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pablo Escudero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Revilla shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Escudero counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Revilla. Revilla gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Escudero counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Revilla's guard now. Escudero with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Escudero controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Escudero tries to free his leg and advance position but Revilla is retaining full guard. Escudero trying to control but Revilla is working from the bottom. Escudero stopping the sweep attempt from Revilla.
And that's the end of the fight! Pablo Escudero comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Escudero has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
