Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aoki Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes to the cage accompanied by Marcelo D2 - Desabafo . Aoki Aoki has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bird.
Aoki manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bird on his heels. He'll look to pass Bird's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Aoki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bird does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bird is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Aoki off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Aoki Aoki!
Aoki Aoki decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
