Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Risto Ryhti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Downius Beatius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Downius Beatius struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Ryhti.
Beatius misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Beatius will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ryhti will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ryhti misses with a kick to the body.
Beatius shoots in for a double leg but Ryhti sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Risto Ryhti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Downius Beatius.
Ryhti forces Beatius back against the ropes and clinches.

Beatius is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ryhti on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ryhti tries to get out of the position.

Beatius stops Ryhti from getting back to his feet.

Ryhti is pushing Beatius's head away, looking to escape. Beatius manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Beatius shoots in and drives through. Ryhti sprawls well.
Ryhti lands a nice shot to the body.

Beatius fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Risto Ryhti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryhti lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Beatius shoots in but no luck this time.
Beatius changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ryhti tries to avoid it but Beatius manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ryhti to the ground. Ryhti escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ryhti misses with a kick to the body.

Ryhti stuffs the takedown attempt from Beatius. Beatius gets slowly back to his feet.
Ryhti lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Beatius scores a takedown into full mount!

Ryhti really wants to buck Beatius off and get back to his feet.

Ryhti trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Beatius lands a heavy elbow.
Beatius throws some wild stikes that Ryhti manages to avoid easily.
Beatius misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Ryhti bucks up and throws Beatius to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Beatius swats away the attempt to clinch by Ryhti.
Beatius fails with a takedown attempt.
Beatius shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ryhti but Ryhti pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Beatius looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ryhti is fending him off so far but Beatius persists. Nope, Ryhti circles away and we're back to standing.
Beatius shoots in for a double leg but Ryhti sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Risto Ryhti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ryhti is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ryhti is looking to clinch.
Beatius tries for a takedown but Ryhti sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Left hook, right uppercut from Ryhti.
Beatius feints and as Ryhti raises his hands in defense, Beatius changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ryhti will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Beatius is working Ryhti over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Risto Ryhti will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Ryhti throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ryhti scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Beatius is still on wobbly legs! Can Ryhti finish him?
Ryhti doesn't manage to clinch there - Beatius circles away.
Ryhti tries to clinch up.
Beatius fails to land the takedown.
Ryhti drives through and clinches with Beatius against the ropes.
Beatius drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ryhti gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Beatius seems to have recovered his senses.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ryhti takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Ryhti is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Beatius is keeping busy.
Ryhti breaks the clinch.
Beatius is breathing heavily.
Beatius circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ryhti is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Ryhti looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A lazy left from Ryhti finds it's target.

Ryhti smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ryhti connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Beatius! He's out on his feet! Ryhti rushes in and drops Beatius with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
