The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrow ducks under a wild hook from Picard.
Picard closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Morrow looks to throw the jab but Picard is out of range.
Morrow throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Morrow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Picard avoids it really well and circles away.

Picard fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morrow is on top in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Picard is trying to control the position but Morrow postures up.
Picard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morrow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Picard is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Morrow defends it well.

Morrow throws a hook to the side of Picard's head but Picard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Trent Morrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Picard manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Morrow on his heels. He'll look to pass Morrow's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morrow lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Picard!

Picard sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Morrow uses his free foot to push down on Picard's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Picard.

Morrow cracks Picard with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Morrow is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Picard can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Morrow throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Picard because Morrow loaded up on that one.
Picard bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Morrow wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morrow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Morrow stands up over Picard, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Morrow is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Picard gets his way!

I would just about give that final round to Trent Morrow.
Well Morrow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
