Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Zapata.
Zapata misses with a body kick.
A head kick from Zapata lands but Griffin takes it in his stride.
Zapata throws a leg kick
and Griffin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zapata's guard.
Zapata working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Griffin.
Zapata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Griffin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Zapata working a defensive guard but Griffin passes into half guard.

Griffin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Griffin working over Zapata with some ground and pound. Zapata looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Zapata is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Griffin has latched onto it... Big trouble! Griffin pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Zapata is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Griffin!
