Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juno Rawlins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Fu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Juno Rawlins!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Fu.
Fu attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Fu is looking to score with low kicks.
Fu tries to work over Rawlins's front leg with a kick but Rawlins checks it.
Fu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rawlins fails with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Rawlins or perhaps it was just good defense by Fu which made him look bad.
Fu throws a low kick but Rawlins moves out of range easily.
Rawlins checks a leg kick nicely.
Rawlins shoots in but no luck this time.
Freddy Fu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juno Rawlins.
Fu goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Rawlins drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rawlins trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fu's guard.

Rawlins landing some decent shots from guard.
Rawlins throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rawlins throws an elbow that misses. Fu uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rawlins's guard. Nice move by Fu!

Let's hope that Rawlins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Juno Rawlins has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Nice sprawl there from Fu as Rawlins shoots in.
Fu fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rawlins checks it well.
Good leg kick by Fu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fu misses with a low kick.
Juno Rawlins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rawlins shoots in but Fu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fu throws a leg kick but Rawlins moved away.
Fu throws a leg kick which misses Rawlins's front leg but catches the back leg as Rawlins tries to avoid it.
Fu throws a low kick but Rawlins moves out of range easily.

A clash of legs there as Rawlins blocks the low kick.
Fu throws a low kick, looking for Rawlins's leg but Rawlins calmly moves out of range.
Fu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Fu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Fu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rawlins shoots in and drives through. Fu sprawls well.

Rawlins shoots in for a takedown but Fu shows good takedown defense.
Fu fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rawlins checks it well.
Fu slaps away a takedown attempt from Rawlins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rawlins takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Fu throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Rawlins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fu avoids it really well and circles away.
Fu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rawlins is out of range and Fu settles back down.
Fu throws a head kick that Rawlins semi-blocks.
Rawlins fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fu will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fu looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rawlins on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fu. Fu obviously looking to wear him down.
Fu throws out a leg kick but Rawlins moves out of range and Fu only half commits.
Fu throws a leg kick but Rawlins sees it coming and checks it nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A slapping leg kick lands for Fu.
Fu throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rawlins.
Fu cracks the inside of Rawlins's front leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freddy Fu dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Fu motions for Rawlins to come forward. Fu throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Rawlins feints and as Fu raises his hands in defense, Rawlins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rawlins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Rawlins throws a big right hand that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rawlins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rawlins is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Rawlins is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Rawlins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fu works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rawlins's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Rawlins is breathing heavily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rawlins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rawlins postures up and lands a big shot to Fu's brow.
Rawlins throws an elbow that misses. Fu uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rawlins's guard. Nice move by Fu!
Rawlins has Fu pulled in close to control his posture.
Juno Rawlins has got the better of the ground game so far.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Freddy Fu just wasn't active enough.

Rawlins closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fu quickly recovers to half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rawlins tries to free his leg and advance position but Fu is retaining full guard.

Rawlinsis looking to pass into half guard but Fu pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Fu is in guard.
Rawlins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rawlins is pulling down on Fu's head. It's preventing any offense from Fu, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Freddy Fu just wasn't active enough.
Fu stuffs the takedown attempt from Rawlins. Rawlins gets slowly back to his feet.
Fu throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rawlins.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fu.
Fu tries to score with a low kick but Rawlins moves his leg out of the way.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rawlins takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fu swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Fu thumps Rawlins with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Juno Rawlins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Fu makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Good work by Rawlins as he checks the leg kick.
Rawlins is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rawlins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fu tries to avoid it but Rawlins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fu to the ground. Fu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Freddy Fu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juno Rawlins.

Rawlins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fu as he jumps to the side.

Fu throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rawlins's head.
Fu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fu throws a chopping leg kick but Rawlins manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Juno Rawlins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fu walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rawlins checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Rawlins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rawlins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rawlins steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Fu. That one must have hurt.
Fu motions for Rawlins to come forward. Fu throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Fu connects with a leg kick. Rawlins looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fu throws a head kick but Rawlins moves out of range.
Fu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fu connects with a solid leg kick.
Rawlins's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Fu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rawlins is out of range.
Fu lands with a thumping leg kick.
Fu attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Rawlins has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fu.
Fu connects with a solid leg kick.
Rawlins sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Rawlins shoots in looking for a takedown. Fu tries to sprawl out of it but Rawlins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rawlins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rawlins is defended easily by Fu.

Rawlins has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fu.
Freddy Fu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fu throws a leg kick but Rawlins sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rawlins crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fu - the referee stops the clock and Rawlins gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fu. Rawlins manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rawlins's calf.
Fu lets loose with a powerful body kick. Rawlins will feel that in the morning.

Fu lands with a slapping head kick.
Rawlins avoids the head kick by Fu.
Fu looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Fu throws a wild body kick that Rawlins sees coming a mile off.
Fu is looking to chop away at Rawlins's legs.
Rawlins tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fu swivels and escapes.
Some bone on bone action there as Rawlins checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
