The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmoe looks to land a right hand but Horndorf moved out of range.
Horndorf throws a low kick but it's checked well by Schmoe.
Schmoe is looking to clinch.

Horndorf looks for the body kick but Schmoe saw that one coming.

Horndorf has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Schmoe has momentary wrist control but Horndorf slips an elbow through the middle.

Horndorf is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Schmoe defends well.
Schmoe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Horndorf is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Horndorf bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Schmoe's guard.

Horndorf is looking to take a break and control but Schmoe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Horndorf scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Schmoe is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Horndorf can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
