Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baz Karamba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanalu Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Baz Karamba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kanalu Jones! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karamba gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard. Karamba wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position. Jones sitting in guard, not really doing much. Karamba is trying to keep Jones in close.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karamba trying to control the position.
Baz Karamba has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Karamba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones raining down hammerfists from mount. Karamba defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones content just to control the position here. It looks like Jones might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Karamba is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karamba is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kanalu Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee. Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Karamba's guard. Karamba not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Karamba keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kanalu Jones dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kanalu Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones trying to move into half guard but instead Karamba has managed to sweep! Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Karamba wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position. Karamba throws a big right hand that misses. Karamba preventing the sweep. Jones pushes Karamba off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Karamba on his heels. He'll look to pass Karamba's guard now, I'm sure. Karamba had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily. Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Karamba is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet! Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones thows a huge punch but Karamba dodges it nicely.
Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jones works his way into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Karamba wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Karamba is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Karamba seems a little lost for a moment, as Jones dominates the positioning. Karamba is looking for a sweep. Karamba is trying to escape the position but Jones is controlling the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kanalu Jones wasn't active enough on the ground. Jones is looking to clinch but Karamba is avoiding it.
Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones not doing much here.
Karamba has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kanalu Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Karamba tries to clinch up and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Karamba didn't expect that. Jones engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Karamba looking for a sweep. Not yet Karamba, not yet. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Jones pushing down on Karamba's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karamba is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily. Jones wants to pass to mount but Karamba is defending the position. Jones sitting and controlling from the half guard. Karamba wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Karamba tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Karamba fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jones is pressing down on Karamba's thigh, looking to free his foot. Karamba is holding on for now. Jones with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Karamba knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Karamba trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Baz Karamba just wasn't active enough. Karamba gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Baz Karamba has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kanalu Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
And that's the end of the fight! Kanalu Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
