The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte lands with a slapping head kick.
Gomez misses the shot to the body.
Gomez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duarte sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gomez somewhat.
Gomez lands a leg kick that knocks Duarte off balance momentarily.
Duarte connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Gomez to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Duarte!
