Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mirko Kemp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Big Bastard!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemp gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kemp takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kemp on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bastard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kemp sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kemp swings for the body but Bastard moves out of range.
Bastard misses with a looping left.
Kemp uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bastard.
Kemp throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Big Bastard has been cut.
A punch lands to the side of Kemp 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bastard paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kemp steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bastard.
Bastard thuds a left hand into Kemp's body.
Bastard throws a hook but Kemp avoids it easily.
Bastard scores with a body shot.
Big Bastard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bastard lands a glancing blow to the side of Kemp's head.
Jab by Bastard.
Kemp takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bastard scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Bastard is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kemp had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Bastard cracks Kemp with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kemp is rocked!
Kemp bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bastard's head backwards.
Oh Kemp is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bastard cracks Kemp with a good jab.
Kemp tries for a takedown but Bastard circles away easily
and Bastard counters with a huge left! Kemp is in big trouble! He's backing up but Bastard isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Kemp from any more damage. A dominating finish by Bastard!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Big Bastard!
