Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benny Maddog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Bedorf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Benny Maddog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karol Bedorf! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maddog shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Maddog trying to pass the guard but Bedorf defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maddog wants to work for an arm triangle but Bedorf is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maddog is controlling the pace.
Maddog tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bedorf controls his leg. Bedorf actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maddog throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Maddog landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Bedorf looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Maddog wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bedorf keeps working. Maddog passes to full mount! Maddog tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bedorf is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maddog has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bedorf's face.
Maddog looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Maddog knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bedorf on the ground. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Maddog looking to control and managing it successfully. Maddog raining down shots from the mount! Maddog working the ground and pound effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bedorf is looking to improve his position but Maddog isn't that keen on the idea. Bedorf is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Maddog lands a nice shot to the head. Bedorf tries to reverse the position but Maddog maintains control. Maddog lands a big elbow. Maddog trying to control but Bedorf is having none of it. Bedorf can't escape the position.
Maddog looking to control but Bedorf is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bedorf regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bedorf has a closed guard, preventing Maddog from standing up. Bedorf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maddog can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bedorf looking for a guillotine here but Maddog defends easily.

Bedorf is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Maddog trying to control the position from guard on top but Bedorf is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bedorf working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Maddog doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Maddog manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
