Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simo Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itagaki Manabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Itagaki Manabu!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manabu gets caught flat footed, as Storm shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Manabu keeping moving, preventing Storm from controlling successfully.
Manabu is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Manabu wants to sweep here but Storm controlling him for the moment.

Storm gets to his feet. Manabu looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Storm on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Manabu gets caught napping as Storm dives in and scores a takedown. Manabu manages to retain guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Storm tries to free his leg and advance position but Manabu is retaining full guard.

Storm drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Storm jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Manabu is striking from the bottom but Storm uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Storm is looking for a kimura but Manabu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Storm to get the leverage.
Manabu is staying active underneath Storm, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Storm thows a huge punch but Manabu dodges it nicely.

Storm tries to stand but Manabu is controlling from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Manabu shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Storm eats them both and turns towards Manabu to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Storm takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Storm shoots in for a takedown but Manabu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Manabu is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Storm rather than just go for the knockout.

Storm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Manabu tries to avoid it but Storm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Manabu to the ground. Manabu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Manabu counters with a left and a right that stings Storm.
Storm moves forwards but Manabu connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Simo Storm is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Manabu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Storm stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Itagaki Manabu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Storm's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Manabu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Storm scrambles back to his feet.

Storm looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Manabu pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Storm back to the cage. Manabu follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Storm shoots in looking for a takedown but Manabu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Storm's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Manabu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Storm takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Manabu ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Storm moves into the clinch successfully.
Manabu manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Manabu has had enough of the clinch but Storm keeps him there for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Itagaki Manabu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Manabu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
