Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ozuma Obata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Jecht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jecht's choice of entrance music: Pink Floyd - Young Lust. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ozuma Obata! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sir Jecht! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jecht throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jecht tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Obata swivels and escapes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jecht. Jecht is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Obata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A left lands for Obata.
It looks like Sir Jecht has been cut. No joy there for Obata, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jecht fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ozuma Obata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sir Jecht. Obata swings widly with a right hand
and Jecht counters with a nice double leg into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jecht working some strikes from top position. Jecht missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Obata on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Obata tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jecht passes Obata's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jecht throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Obata tries to kick Jecht off but Jecht keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jecht throwing shots but Obata is blocking nicely. Jecht trying to control the action but Obata is working from the bottom. Jecht is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Jecht wants to take a breather but Obata is having none of it. Jecht frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Obata is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jecht raining down hammerfists from mount.
Obata is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Whack. That's a big, big shot from Jecht! Obata is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Sir Jecht! Sir Jecht is the new welterweight champion! A very excited looking Sir Jecht made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
