The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Lisa Williams has been cut.
Smirnov moves into range and connects with a jab.
Smirnov moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Smirnov works over Williams's head and body with a nice combination.
Williams takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smirnov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Williams looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Smirnov tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smirnov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Good exchange - Smirnov coming out on top.
Smirnov circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Smirnov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Williams misses with a head kick.
Williams takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Smirnov cracks Williams with a good jab.
Smirnov thuds a left hand into Williams's body.

Lisa Williams's cut is getting worse.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smirnov, as that shot connected.
Smirnov lands a slapping body shot.
Smirnov with a nice cross.
Smirnov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Williams is breathing heavily.
Smirnov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smirnov is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Williams had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Smirnov lands with a nice body punch.
The crowd cheers as Smirnov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Williams doesn't seem phased though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smirnov's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Smirnov duly obliges.
Smirnov lands a jab to Williams's midsection.

Oooooh!!! Smirnov has knocked Williams down with a huge combo! Smirnov steps away and waves a wobbly Williams back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Williams is rocked!

Lisa Williams's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Williams takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Smirnov cracks Williams with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smirnov has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Williams to stand back up!
Oh Williams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Williams takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Smirnov connects with a body shot.
Williams seems to have got his legs back now.
Smirnov steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Williams is out on his feet! Smirnov sets himself and nearly takes Williams's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
