Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Cezar De Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esteban Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think De Lima might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DosCe- Urban Mafia. Alvarez has chosen Eminem - Not Afraid as his entrance music. Julio Cezar De Lima has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Esteban Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez blocks a head kick by De Lima.

De Lima feints and as Alvarez raises his hands in defense, De Lima changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

De Lima drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alvarez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alvarez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alvarez!

Alvarez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

De Lima thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

De Lima swings around for an armbar but Alvarez sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into De Lima's guard.

Alvarez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
De Lima is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alvarez is controlling him.

Alvarez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! De Lima is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alvarez, into his guard.

De Lima stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alvarez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

De Lima drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and De Lima jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
De Lima will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

De Lima has gone for a leg lock! Alvarez slips out almost immediately though and dives into De Lima's guard.
