Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roman Wiher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romo Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roman Wiher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Romo Silva! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva lands with a shot to the body. Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Wiher which made him look bad. Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Silva content to stall in guard here. Silva postures up in Wiher's guard and throws a big left but Wiher blocks it. Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Silva throwing strikes from guard but Wiher blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Silva landing some decent shots from guard. Wiher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wiher tries to get out of the position. Silva lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Silva is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Silva postures up in Wiher's guard and throws a big left but Wiher blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva sitting in guard, not really doing much. Silva postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Silva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Wiher has wrist control. Wiher is breathing heavily. Wiher preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Wiher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee asks Silva politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Silva prefers to stall for the moment though. Silva connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wiher some visible discomfort.
Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Silva throws an elbow but Wiher slips to the side and avoids it well. Silva just content to control the position. Silva creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Wiher sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wiher is being controlled here. Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Wiher is defending well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wiher tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position. Wiher dodges the ground and pound from Silva. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wiher takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Silva in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Romo Silva dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wiher takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Wiher sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva misses with a takedown and Wiher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wiher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Silva is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Silva slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva keeping moving, preventing Wiher from controlling successfully. Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Silva throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wiher's guard. Silva wants to pass the guard but Wiher is keeping the position. Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Wiher has wrist control. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Wiher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wiher has his takedown stuffed and Silva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wiher is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Wiher is rocked! Silva scores with a big shot! Wiher's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Wiher! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Romo Silva! Romo Silva gave a mention to Down Under - Supplements. New 160Q in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
