Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Luc Picard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Picard comes to the cage accompanied by The Picard Song. Jean Luc Picard is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Max lands a nice leg kick that just misses Picard's sensitive parts.
Max connects with a leg kick. Picard looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Max throws a leg kick but Picard sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Picard swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Max makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Max drives through and clinches with Picard against the cage.
Max tries a knee to the head but Picard blocks it.
Max has Picard pressed against the cage, preventing Picard from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Max has Picard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Picard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Max shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Picard manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Max slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Picard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Max doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Max manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Max tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Picard is squirming around, avoiding Max's attempts to control the action.

Max is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Picard is in real trouble.

Mad Max showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Picard enables Max to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Picard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Picard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Max's guard.
Max is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mad Max hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Mad Max comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Max has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
