The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meridius avoids the head kick by Izrani.

and Meridius counters with a thumping low kick.
Izrani tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Meridius manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Meridius throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Izrani tumbling to the canvas!

Izrani is rocked!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Meridius tries to free his leg and advance position but Izrani is retaining full guard.
Izrani is still in real trouble! Can Meridius finish him?
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Meridius wants to stand but Izrani is controlling his posture from full guard.

The fighters circle, before Meridius throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Izrani's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Meridius lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
