Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Watson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Hunt! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Watson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Watson lands a really nice looking cross but Hunt seems unphased.
Hunt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Watson sprawls well initially but Hunt persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunt content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hunt missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hunt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Watson is looking to escape. Hunt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Watson is just riding it out for now. Hunt eventually gives up the hold. Hunt wants to pass the guard but Watson is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watson is trying to get back to full guard. Hunt stalling away here and it's allowed Watson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hunt won't allow Watson to get back to his feet. Hunt preventing the sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A swing and a miss from Hunt. Hunt looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Watson! Watson reaches up and holds on to Hunt to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunt looking to control but Watson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Watson tries to control Hunt's body but Hunt pushes him off. Watson squirms to his side and now Hunt has his back! Hunt controlling well, preventing Watson from escaping the position.
Watson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunt on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A bit of a pause in the action here. Hunt controlling the positon. Watson wants to get back to his feet. Hunt is looking for the choke from the back position but Watson is controlling his hands well. Hunt scores with punches to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Hunt dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hunt looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Watson moves into the clinch successfully.
Hunt has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Watson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Watson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Watson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Watson tries to break the clinch but Hunt is controlling the position. Hunt leaning against his opponent.
Hunt is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Watson gets through Hunt's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Hunt fails to pull guard.
Hunt tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Watson's elbow. Hunt is trying to break the clinch but Watson has him pressed against the cage. Watson can't break the clinch.
Watson breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watson lands a jab to the nose. Watson closes the distance and clinches. Hunt turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Watson wants to get back to his feet. Watson wants to get back to his feet but Hunt is dominant here and he's now got Watson's back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watson is squirming around, avoiding Hunt's attempts to control the action. Watson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hunt.
Watson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hunt. Hunt is breathing heavily. Hunt controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Watson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hunt trying to control but Watson is having none of it. Watson is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Watson is squirming around, avoiding Hunt's attempts to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Watson tries to hold on but Hunt postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Watson is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sam Watson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Hunt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Watson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hunt.
Hunt avoids the head kick by Watson.
Hunt has a takedown stuffed. Watson tries to clinch up. A decent looking body kick lands there for Watson. Hunt has a takedown stuffed. Mark Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Watson but Watson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sam Watson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Hunt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Hunt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hunt is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Watson. Watson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Watson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Watson lands a jab to the head.
Watson moves out of range of the strikes. Watson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hunt swivels and escapes. Watson looks to land a combination. Hunt sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Hunt tries for a takedown but Watson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A clash of legs there as Watson blocks the low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunt wants to clinch but Watson slips to the side and Watson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hunt! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Watson throws some wild stikes that Hunt manages to avoid easily.
Watson prevents Hunt from getting the reversal. Hunt slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Watson slips a nice elbow through Hunt's hands, connecting with Hunt's forehead. Watson stops Hunt from getting back to his feet.
Hunt moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Watson postures up.
Hunt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Watson wanted to stand there but Hunt had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hunt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Watson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hunt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Watson's back instead. Watson trying to get back to his feet but Hunt is in full control for now. Watson is keeping busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Watson showed his dominance in that final round. I think Watson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
