Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Eckhoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Astador Persetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eckhoff's entrance music is Walk by Pantera. A fine choice. The key to victory for Chris Eckhoff has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Eckhoff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Astador Persetti! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Persetti.
Eckhoff fails with an attempt to clinch.
Eckhoff scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Persetti is not content to let Eckhoff control the position. Eckhoff is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Persetti has escaped the position, nice work there. Persetti is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eckhoff decides to take the fight back to the feet. Eckhoff bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Persetti's head. Eckhoff feints and as Persetti raises his hands in defense, Eckhoff changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Persetti not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Persetti looks gassed! Persetti had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Eckhoff is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Persetti Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Eckhoff's back instead. Eckhoff rolls, trying to escape but Persetti keeps control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Persetti missing with strikes from the back. Eckhoff has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Persetti throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Eckhoff looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Persetti looking for the choke but no joy. Persetti thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eckhoff turns into Persetti and is now in his guard.
Eckhoff looking to pass the guard. Persetti controlling Eckhoff's posture. Eckhoff loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Eckhoff works over Persetti with some ground and pound from guard. Eckhoff thows a big elbow that misses. Eckhoff stopping the sweep attempt from Persetti.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Persetti with a lazy takedown attempt and Eckhoff counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Persetti's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Eckhoff wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Persetti, who protects the arm well. Eckhoff working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Eckhoff dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Persetti looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Eckhoff tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Persetti circles away from the clinch attempt.
Persetti shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Eckhoff pinned against the cage. Eckhoff gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Persetti looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Chris Eckhoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Astador Persetti. Persetti is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eckhoff connects with a single shot there. Eckhoff connects with the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eckhoff connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Persetti momentarily.
Persetti is rocked! Eckhoff circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Persetti to the canvas! Persetti doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Eckhoff keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Eckhoff!
