Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Momoshiro Kitsune! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose RIzal! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! RIzal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kitsune as he avoids it easily. Kitsune displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from RIzal. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as RIzal checks a leg kick. Kitsune tries a head kick but it misses.
RIzal misses with a takedown and Kitsune counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Momoshiro Kitsune has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose RIzal. Kitsune trying to control the position from guard on top but RIzal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kitsune pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. RIzal is keeping the position for now. Kitsune could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. RIzal is trying to control the position from the bottom.
RIzal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kitsune lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kitsune wants to control from the top but RIzal keeps moving. Kitsune drops back looking for a leg! RIzal is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and RIzal manages to kick Kitsune off! Kitsune jumps back into RIzal's guard. RIzal is trying to keep Kitsune in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kitsune drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kitsune jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kitsune stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. RIzal swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. RIzal has his foot on Kitsune's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kitsune works his way back into a safe position though. Kitsune drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kitsune jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. RIzal keeping moving, preventing Kitsune from controlling successfully. Kitsune is pushing down on RIzal's leg trying to pass to half guard. RIzal is fighting to maintain full guard but Kitsune has managed to sneak the leg through. Kitsune is sneakily working for an arm triangle but RIzal sees it coming and defends easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! RIzal kicks off Kitsune and gets to his feet. RIzal tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kitsune swivels and escapes. RIzal looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kitsune closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kitsune keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kitsune shoots in for a takedown but RIzal shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Horrible takedown by Kitsune or perhaps it was just good defense by RIzal which made him look bad. RIzal shoots in looking for a takedown. Kitsune tries to sprawl out of it but RIzal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kitsune manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. RIzal misses with a takedown and Kitsune counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in RIzal's guard now. Kitsune trying to control but RIzal is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kitsune looking to pass the guard. RIzal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kitsune doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kitsune manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kitsune loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kitsune wants to control from the top but RIzal keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kitsune trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. RIzal can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kitsune controls the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Momoshiro Kitsune dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

RIzal shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kitsune pinned against the cage. Kitsune gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Momoshiro Kitsune has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose RIzal. Kitsune shoots in but RIzal avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kitsune swats away the attempt to clinch by RIzal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kitsune shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kitsune showed some decent athleticism there. Kitsune is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kitsune is sneakily working for an arm triangle but RIzal sees it coming and defends easily. Kitsune is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Momoshiro Kitsune overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. RIzal is pressing down on Kitsune's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. RIzal is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kitsune is aware though and is defending well. That was a close second round but I would say that Momoshiro Kitsune will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Momoshiro Kitsune wasn't doing enough on the ground. RIzal closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kitsune circles away. Kitsune misses with a low kick. RIzal with a lazy takedown attempt letting Kitsune counter with a right hand. Jose RIzal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Momoshiro Kitsune has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose RIzal. Kitsune scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kitsune is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but RIzal is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. RIzal struggling a bit here. Momoshiro Kitsune is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kitsune tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that's the end of the fight! Momoshiro Kitsune showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kitsune has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
