Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Ostin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baru Damdin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damdin has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Ray Ostin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ray Ostin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baru Damdin! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ostin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Damdin's waist but Damdin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ostin off to one side. Damdin closes the distance and clinches up with Ostin, looking for a takedown. Damdin pushes Ostin against the cage but Ostin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Damdin. Damdin looks gassed! Damdin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ostin shoots in for a takedown but Damdin shows good takedown defense. Ostin fails to land with a series of punches.

Damdin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Ostin manages to get back to half guard. Ostin works his way to full guard. Good work. Ostin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Damdin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ostin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Horrible takedown by Ostin or perhaps it was just good defense by Damdin which made him look bad. Ostin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ostin.

Ostin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Damdin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ostin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Damdin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ostin somewhat. Damdin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Damdin trying to control from half guard but Ostin is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ray Ostin will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Damdin keeps the fight on the outside. Ostin tries to clinch there but Damdin circles away.

Ostin tries to avoid it but Damdin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ostin to the ground. Ostin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ostin dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Damdin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ostin is defending well. Ray Ostin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baru Damdin. Damdin is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damdin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ostin's efforts to push away. Ostin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ostin manages to pull guard.

Ostin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Damdin is controlling him. Ostin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ostin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Damdin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ostin is keeping the position for now. Ostin wants to stand but Damdin is controlling the position.

Ostin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Damdin. Damdin throws a strike but Ostin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Damdin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Baru Damdin has got the better of the ground game so far. Ostin trying to control here.
Damdin stands up and beckons Ostin to join him on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damdin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ostin is looking for a sweep. Damdin working the body and head with strikes. Ostin trying to remain calm as Damdin controls from the top position. Damdin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Damdin cracks Ostin with a big right hand but Ostin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ostin is staying active underneath Damdin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Damdin is looking for a kimura here.

Damdin is trying to control the action in half guard but Ostin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Damdin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Baru Damdin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ostin in particular looking to stall. Ostin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Damdin is trying to stand up here but Ostin is controlling him well.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ray Ostin. I think Ostin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
