Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Qwerty Board! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Riku Reipas! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reipas misses with a takedown and Board counters with a nice uppercut. Reipas blocks a head kick by Board.
Reipas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Board counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Reipas! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Reipas wants to hold on but Board pushes him away. Reipas is trying to escape the mount.
Reipas wants to control but Board is having none of it. Reipas is looking to improve his position but Board isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reipas takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Board avoids the attempt from Reipas to control. Reipas is working to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Board raining down hammerfists from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reipas working to try and regain half guard.
Board controlling the position easily from mount. Reipas slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Reipas trying to hold on to Board's head to control him but Board postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Board is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Reipas tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Reipas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Board is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Board lands a nice short elbow. Reipas works his way to full guard. Good work. Reipas working a defensive guard here.
Reipas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Board is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Reipas. Reipas gets back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Board wants to control but Reipas is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Riku Reipas will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Reipas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Board paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reipas with a lazy takedown attempt and Board counters with a flying knee. Nice. Reipas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Board counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Board postures up in Reipas's guard and throws a big left but Reipas blocks it. Reipas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Board trying to control but Reipas is working from the bottom. Qwerty Board overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Board got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reipas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Board has managed to get both his arms back between Reipas's legs - danger averted. Reipas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Board is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Board working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Reipas has an active guard here but Board has managed to pass into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Board slows the pace down in half guard. Reipas gets full guard. Reipas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Board is aware though and is defending well. Board throwing strikes but missing. Reipas is striking but Board is not phased and passes to half guard. Reipas wants to control but Board is keeping busy and won't allow it. Reipas looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Reipas looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Board is defending well. Reipas quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Board has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Reipas celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
