Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Blunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kade Kaiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonny Blunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kade Kaiser!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaiser keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kaiser shoots in and drives through. Blunt sprawls well.
Kaiser fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Blunt counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jonny Blunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kade Kaiser.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Blunt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kaiser looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Blunt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kaiser controls Blunt momentarily but Blunt frees himself.

Blunt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kaiser utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kaiser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blunt is one step ahead there.

Kaiser looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Blunt is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Blunt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kaiser for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Jonny Blunt wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Blunt gets a clinch.

Blunt gets control of Kaiser's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blunt will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blunt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Kaiser looking to sit in guard and control but Blunt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Blunt working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kaiser is trying to keep Blunt in close.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Blunt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Blunt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kaiser is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kaiser has escaped and now he's on top!
Blunt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kaiser wants to control from the top but Blunt keeps moving.

Kaiser got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blunt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kaiser has managed to get both his arms back between Blunt's legs - danger averted.
Blunt is looking to stand up but Kaiser isn't so interested in that idea.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kaiser trying to control the position from guard on top but Blunt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kaiser has managed to clinch.
Blunt on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kaiser tries to break the clinch but Blunt is controlling the position.
Kaiser tries to pull guard but Blunt forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Blunt has Kaiser pushed against the cage.
Kaiser is trying to pull guard but Blunt has him pressed against the cage.
Kaiser is looking to take this one to the mat.
Jonny Blunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kade Kaiser.
Kaiser tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Blunt just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kaiser takes a shot to the head.
Blunt keeps control of Kaiser as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kaiser tries to stall but Blunt uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Kaiser changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Blunt fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kaiser is breathing heavily.

Blunt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kaiser on his heels. He'll look to pass Kaiser's guard now, I'm sure.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Jonny Blunt wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kaiser, as that shot connected.

Blunt feints and as Kaiser raises his hands in defense, Blunt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kaiser has momentary wrist control but Blunt slips an elbow through the middle.
Blunt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Blunt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jonny Blunt wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Blunt gets a takedown into half guard.

Blunt is trying to work for a kimura but Kaiser is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Blunt lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Blunt drops an elbow to the side of Kaiser's head.
Blunt seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Well, if Blunt is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kaiser is trying is best to control the position here.
Jonny Blunt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blunt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kaiser blocks a head kick by Blunt.

Kaiser shoots in looking for a takedown. Blunt tries to sprawl out of it but Kaiser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blunt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kaiser takes a kick to the side of the head.

Kaiser closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kaiser lands in his opponent's guard.
Blunt tries to strike from the bottom.
Kaiser postures up in Blunt's guard and throws a big left but Blunt blocks it.

Kaiser stands up from Blunt's guard - Kaiser perhaps looking for a knockout.

Blunt closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kaiser quickly recovers to half guard.
Kaiser takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Blunt is trying to work for a kimura but Kaiser is defending well.

Blunt gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Blunt throws a right and a left that Kaiser avoids nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kaiser looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kaiser tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blunt paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kaiser bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kaiser misses with a head kick.
Blunt wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Blunt shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kaiser manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blunt passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Blunt stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Kade Kaiser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blunt throws a series of punches but Kaiser moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kaiser throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Blunt.
Blunt lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kaiser backs up against the cage.
Blunt scores with a nice body kick.

Blunt has closed the distance and engaged Kaiser in a clinch.
Blunt stalling in the clinch.

Blunt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kaiser shoots in but no luck this time.

Blunt moves into the clinch.
Kaiser has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blunt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jonny Blunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kade Kaiser.

Blunt gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blunt passes Kaiser's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Blunt is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kaiser is trying to stand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blunt gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Blunt misses with a jab, cross combination.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jonny Blunt showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Blunt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
