Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Xavier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Gilmour! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gilmour thuds his right hand into Xavier's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Gilmour with a jab.
It looks like James Xavier has been cut. Xavier moves to clinch but Gilmour breaks away and Gilmour connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gilmour pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Xavier has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gilmour finds it's way round the side to connect with Xavier's head. Gilmour ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Xavier moves away. A chopping leg kick lands by Gilmour. Gilmour throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gilmour drops Xavier with a naaaaasty hook - Xavier is in real trouble here! Gilmour dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Gilmour! An out of breath David Gilmour thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
