Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Mifsud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skyler Myles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myles has chosen Danger Zone as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Mifsud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Skyler Myles!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mifsud attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Mifsud misses with a body shot.
Skyler Myles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mifsud throws a sloppy body shot
and Myles counters with a good, hard body kick but Mifsud shrugs it off.
Mifsud throws a leg kick but Myles checks it.
Mifsud looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Myles is fending him off so far but Mifsud persists. Nope, Myles circles away and we're back to standing.
Myles darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Mifsud closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Myles is staying active underneath Mifsud, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Myles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mifsud. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mifsud stands up over Myles, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mifsud is landing with some decent strikes but Myles is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Myles thows a body shot but no joy.
Myles tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Myles lands a nice hook to Mifsud's body. Mifsud takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Mifsud shoots in looking for a takedown. Myles tries to sprawl out of it but Mifsud keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Myles manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Mifsud counters with a shoot takedown. Myles fights it but they end up in guard.

Myles wants to sweep here but Mifsud controlling him for the moment.
Myles is pulling down on Mifsud's head. It's preventing any offense from Mifsud, at least for the moment.
Myles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mifsud works to advance to full mount. Myles defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Mifsud lands a big shot to the head and Myles winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
