Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Glen Hu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross has chosen Ice-T 'Original Ganster' as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Glen Hu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricky Ross!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Hu moves out of range of the body kick from Ross.
Ross throws a sloppy head kick and Hu moves out of range easily.
Ross buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ross swats away the attempt to clinch by Hu.
Hu tries to clinch up
and Ross counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hu's knee momentarily.
Ross throws a front kick aimed at Hu's knee but Hu avoids it well.
Hu wants to clinch up but Ross keeps it at a distance.
Ross scores with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ross throws a sloppy head kick and Hu moves out of range easily.

and Hu counters by moving into the clinch.

Hu jumps guard and drags Ross to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hu controls Ross momentarily but Ross frees himself.
Ross wants to stand but Hu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ross gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ross misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hu closes the distance and clinches up with Ross, looking for a takedown. Hu pushes Ross against the cage but Ross circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hu tries to clinch but Ross is having none of it.

Ross scores a nice knee to the body.
Hu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ross smiles and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ross moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hu blocks a head kick by Ross.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ross, right into the meat.
Hu wants to clinch.
Hu closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Ross counter with a right hand.
Ross connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ross misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ross circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ross counters with an outside leg kick.
Hu is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ross.

It looks like Glen Hu has been cut.

Ross drops Hu with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hu looks back up at him and smiles so Ross waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Hu is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hu wants to clinch.
Hu closes the distance but Ross moves to the side
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hu tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Ross counters with a flying knee that drops Hu! Ross dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Ross!
