Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Klas Ondahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 2, fighting out of New York, Klas Ondahl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Silva!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva rushes Ondahl and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Ondahl on that attempt.
Silva throws out a leg kick but Ondahl moves out of range and Silva only half commits.
Silva leaves Ondahl with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva pushes Ondahl up against the cage in a clinch.
Ondahl tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Silva just stands there and leans against the cage.

Ondahl has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Ondahl jumps into guard, dragging Silva to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ondahl is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silva is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ondahl. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ondahl manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

That's time! Ondahl's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Silva blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Silva tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ondahl avoids it.

Ondahl wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Ondahl working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ondahl is tightening it up a little... Silva has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Silva reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Silva taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ondahl!
