Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pleas Honeywood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honeywood comes to the cage accompanied by Soul by the Pound. Li has chosen The Mars Volta - as his entrance music. Hong Li acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Honeywood.
Li connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Honeywood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Li avoids it really well and circles away.

Li is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Li can do anything to dispel that myth.
Li has hold of Honeywood's hands but Honeywood slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Honeywood uses his free foot to push down on Li's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Li.
Li really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Honeywood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Honeywood is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Li can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Li crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Honeywood - the referee stops the clock and Li gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Honeywood. Li manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
