The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A head kick misses from Bimbo.
Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bimbo was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson.
Johnson missing with a left hand there. Bimbo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bimbo shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense.

Johnson throws a looping overhand right but Bimbo ducks down to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson thows a body shot but no joy.
Johnson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Johnson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bimbo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Johnson stalks Bimbo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bimbo's face. Bimbo staggers backwards, shaken.
Johnson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bimbo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Bimbo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.

Johnson jabs Bimbo right on the nose. Bimbo blinks but takes it well.
Johnson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Bimbo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bimbo off to one side.
Donk. Johnson catches Bimbo right on the button with a cross.
Johnson throws a right hand that Bimbo ducks under and follows up with a left that Bimbo also avoids with ease.
Nice uppercut there from Johnson.
Bimbo tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Johnson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bimbo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bimbo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut.
Bimbo dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Bimbo's head and hops out.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Johnson lands a left and a right that send Bimbo crashing to the mat, dazed. Johnson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Bimbo is rocked!
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnson cracks Bimbo's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Bimbo slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Johnson can do further damage! This one is done, son!
