Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Copeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eben Thorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Copeland comes to the cage accompanied by Avenged Sevenfold-Beast and the Harlot. Thorn has chosen They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard! as his entrance music. Eben Thorn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Copeland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Eben Thorn! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Copeland tries to land a body kick and Thorn counters with a nice leg kick. Copeland throws a wild body kick that Thorn sees coming a mile off. Thorn tries to land a front kick but Copeland steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Copeland fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thorn sprawls well initially but Copeland persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Copeland takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Copeland throwing shots but Thorn is blocking nicely. Ground and pound from Copeland. Copeland sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Thorn defending well though. That's one minute gone in the round. Thorn trying to hold on to Copeland's head to control him but Copeland postures up.
Copeland seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Copeland working Thorn over with strikes. Copeland uses his free foot to push down on Thorn's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Thorn. Copeland working Thorn over with strikes here.
It looks like Eben Thorn has been cut. Copeland postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Thorn looks a forlorn figure.
That has opened up Eben Thorn's cut even more. Thorn is desperately trying to improve his position but Copeland has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Copeland can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thorn is looking to escape. Copeland with good strikes from the mount here! Copeland working away from the top, dropping strikes. Copeland takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Thorn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Copeland punishing his opponent with strikes.
Eben Thorn's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Eben Thorn's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jay Copeland! Jay Copeland was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
