Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Devil Jho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaki Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jho comes to the cage accompanied by Into the Abyss. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi misses with a kick to the body.
Gomi misses with a double jab
and Jho counters with a left to the body.
Gomi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gomi duly obliges.
Jho throws a body kick that misses.

Jho walks into a straight right hand from Gomi.
Jho blocks a head kick by Gomi.
Gomi tries to bum rush Jho with a series of wild strikes but Jho uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Jho counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gomi's knee momentarily.
Gomi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jho looks to score with a jab to the body but Gomi is just out of range.

and Jho counters with a slapping leg kick.
Jho throws a hook but Gomi blocks it.
Jho moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Gomi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jho lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Gomi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Jho pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jho fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gomi misses with a wild body shot.

Isaki Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gomi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jho doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gomi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Gomi throws a series of strikes that have Jho backpedaling.
Jho tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gomi was well out of range. Poor timing from Jho.

Jho will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jho throws a big shot that misses.

Gomi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jho checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Jho counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gomi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jho fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Gomi out cold! Brutal finish!
