The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malelei walks into a straight right hand from Ramirez.
Malelei rushes Ramirez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Malelei has Ramirez pressed against the cage, preventing Ramirez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Malelei tries to pull guard but Ramirez holds him up against the cage and eventually Malelei drops back down to his feet.

and Ramirez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Ramirez lands a big uppercut and Malelei crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Malelei looks OK. Ramirez waves Malelei back to his feet!
Malelei is rocked!
Malelei walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Malelei limp body while Ramirez jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Serg Ramirez!

After winning the bout, Serg Ramirez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
