Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Paim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randolph Swartz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fabio Paim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randolph Swartz!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paim misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Paim uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Swartz.
Paim displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Swartz.
Swartz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Paim.
Paim wants to clinch
and Swartz counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Swartz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Swartz wants it to stay on the feet.
Swartz swinging wildly here.
Paim shoots in for a double leg but Swartz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabio Paim. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Paim.
Swartz connects with a nice looking jab.
Swartz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paim.
Swartz avoids the head kick by Paim.

No joy there for Swartz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Swartz swings for the body but Paim moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Swartz misses the target.
Paim keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Swartz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Paim looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Swartz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Paim knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paim tries to improve position but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swartz is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Paim has escaped the position, nice work there.
Swartz looks up at the clock and then as Paim takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Swartz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Paim avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Swartz.
Swartz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Paim!

Swartz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Paim has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Paim!

Swartz has his foot on Paim's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paim works his way back into a safe position though.
Swartz has control of Paim's left arm, preventing Paim from doing any damage.
Swartz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Paim!

Paim really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Swartz with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Paim could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Swartz misses with a head shot.
Swartz prevents Paim from getting the reversal.
Swartz unloads with some shots from mount but Paim bucks and avoids them well.
Paim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Swartz on the ground.
Swartz throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Swartz tries to control but Paim wriggling away.
Swartz thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Swartz wants to finish this one by submission but Paim is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Swartz.
Paim can't escape the position.
Paim is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Swartz looking to finish Paim with some ground and pound. This is bad for Paim!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Swartz throws some wild stikes that Paim manages to avoid easily.
Swartz content just to control the position here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Swartz is working for a guillotine from mount but Paim frees his head quite easily.
Swartz thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randolph Swartz dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Swartz shoots in and bounces Paim off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Paim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Swartz tries to free his leg and advance position but Paim is retaining full guard.
Paim controls Swartz momentarily but Swartz frees himself.
Swartz preventing the sweep.
Paim will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Swartz wants to control from the top but Paim keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Paim is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Swartz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Swartz is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Paim's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Paim dodges the ground and pound from Swartz.
Paim gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Paim throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Paim has left one of his arms exposed and Swartz doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Paim screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Randolph Swartz!
