Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Crackcorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terry Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Crackcorn!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crackcorn fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones shoots in but Crackcorn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Crackcorn moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
Crackcorn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice sprawl there from Crackcorn as Jones shoots in.
Jones slips a jab and a cross from Crackcorn.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones looks for the body kick but Crackcorn saw that one coming.
Crackcorn takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Johnny Crackcorn has been cut.
Crackcorn fails with an attempt to clinch.
Crackcorn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Crackcorn darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.

Crackcorn wants the takedown. Jones is fighting it off but Crackcorn persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jones's guard against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Crackcorn gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crackcorn tries a head kick but it misses.

Crackcorn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Crackcorn not doing much here.
Jones tries to get to full guard but Crackcorn has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Johnny Crackcorn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jones throws a nice outside leg kick.
Crackcorn keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jones crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Crackcorn - the referee stops the clock and Jones gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Crackcorn. Jones manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Jones gets caught napping as Crackcorn dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Crackcorn stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Crackcorn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jones momentarily.


It looks like Terry Jones has been cut.
Jones takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Crackcorn drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones managing to block the knees to the body from Crackcorn.

Crackcorn breaks from the clinch.

Crackcorn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Crackcorn in particular looking to stall.

Crackcorn stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Crackcorn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Crackcorn decides to stand up.

Crackcorn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Crackcorn finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Crackcorn throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Crackcorn dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Crackcorn throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jones's head.
A slapping body kick lands there for Jones.

Crackcorn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jones is letting Crackcorn control him for a moment.

Crackcorn stands up.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Crackcorn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnny Crackcorn seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Crackcorn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Crackcorn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well.
Crackcorn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones tries to improve his position but instead Crackcorn has taken his back!

Crackcorn controlling well, preventing Jones from escaping the position.

Crackcorn is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jones defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Crackcorn controls the action.

Crackcorn goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Jones escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Jones could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Crackcorn misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Crackcorn missing with punches from the bottom.
Crackcorn regains full guard. Nicely done.
Crackcorn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Crackcorn wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Crackcorn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Crackcorn moves out of range of the strikes.

Crackcorn shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Crackcorn is proving a slippery customer.
Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Crackcorn forces his way into half guard.

Crackcorn keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Terry Jones wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Jones cracks Crackcorn with a right hand to the side of the head.

Crackcorn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jones is trying to defend but Crackcorn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Crackcorn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones trying to control here.

Crackcorn is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Terry Jones just wasn't active enough.
Jones throws a nice outside leg kick.
Crackcorn misses with an attempted mid kick.
Terry Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jones attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Crackcorn moves into the clinch.

Jones manages to break the clinch.
Johnny Crackcorn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Johnny Crackcorn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Crackcorn closes the distance and clinches.

And that's the end of the fight!
Johnny Crackcorn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Crackcorn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
